The man in the grey could have gave himself a much easier time if he stoped leaning so far foward and being very eager to hit the opponent. The straighter your posture the easier it is to defend yourself. Stop flintching after every punch or kick you do, if its your instinct doing it step back afterwards or lean back, otherwise try obserbe their movement. This is very impressive i’m not complaining just saying what i saw very nice though (y)

Good shit for 3 months of training. You have talent for the martial arts, never quit and one day you can pass this on to the future generations.

So nice to see real Gung Fu in sparring. I’m sick of seeing demonstration and that’s all the mainstream will give us. This is really good from a student of 3 months, I’m really impressed!

great job, the shirtless wonder lost! Don’t get intimidated, next time just say “nice nipples lol” then drill in w some circle punches. Also u’d be better if u utilized trapping the foot.

The explosiveness of the direct strikes of xing yi overcame the opponent. Magnificent display for only 3 months .

Interesting to see the five element stance in a randori like this .
i learn the five element stance and well , that work in krav maga very well too( like when you ” burst ” with Fa Li on your opponent) and also in free fight =)

A little more legwork in terms of kicks and your student will be all the better. Its obvious he was very well trained. My full respect to his Sifu and him for training not just hard but properly. *bows*

I’ll give this a thumbs up! BT’s student controlled the ring well, aswell as his posture and centreline, although he got caught a few times, if he threw more elbows, he would have got the KO, but I realise it was only a friendly match.

Good performance by both fighters. It was interesting to see the karate fighter change his approach technique after a couple of rounds. Xing Yi has that effect on people who experience it first hand, hehe. Or should I say hand first? Anyway, Xing Yi boy seems to have a strong impression on using the Xing Yi to enter engagement. The 45 degree footwork entries will come in time, its a lifelong experience. The baiting techniques, stepping back while striking in, thats where the money is. Thanks.

That was a good fight., The chinese fighter had way more speed, but you can tell that once the kickboxer got his timing down, he was pretty effective. I enjoyed watching it. I want to learn some chinese arts.

pretty good for a first fight… I would focus on Xing Yi 2 man forms and drills + push hand sensitivity in order to defend against a counter-punch. keep up the training!

You should widen your array of techniques with roundhouse kicks and some back kicks. The skill is already good, but you can see lots of situations where if you know how to do a back kick or roundhouse kick,it would deal lots of damage. While of course, sticking to the original style for most of the fight till he gets used to it,then wham, back kick.
