The Empty Mind – Wudang Mountain Tai Chi

A clip of our journey to the peaks of Wudang Mountain in China and to the Purple Cloud temple. It is 6.30am and Priest Yuen is starting his day with TaiChi while his students assemble for morning exercise. We removed voiceovers and narrative, so you can sit back and enjoy the really nice soundtrack. Jon Braeley producer of EmptyMind Films.

@ShaolinHero1 religion : directed belief. belief: missing the point. point: specific in a generalised setting. fun: figuring out where to allow the mind to not go

@wayfareoftaoism There are many paths to enlightenment … Godspeed on your quest and good luck, my brother.

@Fupper16 Not trying to insult anyone or put anyone down,I know from my own deep studies and continuous struggles how difficult it seems to understand, however I have come to know that when we want to try and do something we cant, what happens when we don’t?I believe all martial studies have the ability to reach enlightenment,if studied correctly, but in the end alls we understand is there was nothing to understand, what we are looking for we already have.A problem occurs when we think we don’t :) :)

@wayfareoftaoism Clearing the mind of thought does not mean there is no intent … you still know what you want to do, but you do not think about it or control it … let us pretend you reach up on a top shelf and suddenly a pot falls onto you … what would you do? Not a side block! Your hand would react instantly! And simply repel the pot. And it would be done quickly. And naturally. This is the absence of thought that I am working to attain … Peace.

@Fupper16 Not sure this is correct, there is still mind it is just transformed. There is no self or identity involved,This is no mind, however without intent you have nothing but a limp body.As far as chi goes it depends on the minds intent, therefor your whole body should become mind, for mind becomes awareness, this becomes form, than from form,we can become formless. This also is the mind.Everything is mind, look at our out of control minds,as we destroy the planet, from having no mind.PEACE

This is the style that I train. It’s amazing to see how different it is here then there. There are similarities though

  12. foxwillianmulder says:

@Fupper16 yeah bro…u got the essence…train with this in mind, and soon you gonna reap the fruits of your work!

  13. dekal1 says:

I can see the relation to Chen style in it. Very nice.

  14. Fupper16 says:

The essence of Tai Chi is to relax the body and clear the mind of all thoughts … in this state, the body reacts naturally to anything that attacks it … when the blow comes, you are in harmony with it and then you strike with chi, using vibration to disrupt the opponent’s heart rhythm … I’ve been training to do this for 3 years already … I am very low … but I am working hard and I know one day I will get it. Wish me luck.

Has learnt recently about an interesting method of development of abilities of the person: the Method of Bronnikov.
    ==========================================

    * creation of sensations of ease and weight in a body,
    * moving of sensations to a body on a mental command,
    * for one-two day to recover at a flu without tablets,
    * ability to raise or lower arterial pressure to itself or other person

    And more many all interesting!

most……don’t understand!!! everyone wants to base there opinion on what’s ‘real’, but real in most cases is what you’ve come to believe due to tv. to me, classical martial arts are more real than anything created in the last 30 years.
