Bale had this to say about the martial art: We’ve gone a bit further with Keysi (…). I’m actually learning how to do it more realistically than ever before, though it’s such an extreme way of fighting; there are literally moves where you tear someone’s cheek away from their face, or rip their nose off – every part of you becomes a weapon. It’s formidable. Batman doesn’t kill, so we can’t have him doing that; we modify it. “We really wanted something that would look as though Bruce Wayne-as-Batman had created his own style of fighting, something that was unique in style and look,” Christian Bale elaborates. “A big part of the Batman persona is the aggressive, animalistic way he attacks his enemies. I wanted to show how devastating he is when he charges forward and attacks people, and his resilience in taking blows as well.” “The Keysi Fighting Method is a very intuitive kind of martial art, but also very, very brutal,” Bale relates. “It’s all about going for the break straightaway. It’s quite instinctive and it adapts to many different situations. So it truly looks as though this is Batman’s own style that he’s come up with.” “Christian is an …

@44excalibur It’s a blend of working martial arts. And I’ve debunked your fighters.
Why is it you still cannot provide me evidence other than your claims? You only make yourself look more foolish, if not to yourself then to others. who view this.

@theownerest This coming from the Canadian military, I suppose? The Marines I’ve spoken to say hand to hand was practically a lost art after Desert Storm, but in recent years after 9/11 the military has renewed their hand to hand combat progams for close quarter combat.

@uberschelsse No, I’m not mad. Your claim is that MMA is a “blend” and i’m naming UFC fighters who use it as part of their blend. GSP takes Kyokushin, and it’s his base stand up style. He doesn’t just focus on wrestling. Liddell takes Kajukenbo, which is a combo of Kenpo, Karate, and boxing. Do you even know what you’re looking for when you see it? Machida Karate is just pre JKA Shotokan. You think real Karate is like point sparring matches? MIr added BJJ, but still uses Karate for stand up.

@44excalibur As a man in the military myself I have been told right out by my drill sgts that the point of martial arts is self confidence lessons. No one should even get close enough to use hand to hand. You’re a fucking idiot!

@44excalibur Bas is a much older fighter, and if you actually watch some of his interviews he took Karate and TKD as a youth. When he got into MMA he realized the seriousness in jiu jitsu and wrestling. Basically you’ve listed people who’ve taken karate in the past and no longer use it, or don’t even use a real form of it. The US military does not focus it’s entirety of martial arts. And when they do it’s practically kickboxing and bjj. So you’re supporting mma.

@44excalibur This has been debunked.
Lidell has taken Kenpo and kick boxing. We barely see any Kenpo. GSP has taken Karate in the past but his focus on wrestling, kickboxing and boxing has been evidently shown. Machida’s Karate is so heavily modified it doesn’t even look like Karate. That’s why it’s called Machida Karate. Mir did take Karate and believed he could beat BJJ with it. He was wrong and took up BJJ himself and became great at it. He also took up MT. You mad?

@uberschelsse Examples of UFC fighters who use Karate: Lyoto Machida, Chuck Liddell, GSP, Bas Rutten, Gunnar Nelson, Frank Mir, Antonia Carvalho, Seth Petruzelli. Want me to comntinue? Or do you wanna shut up now? And Russian special forces uses escrima, as do U.S. military, which also employs Krav Maga along with the Israelis and many others. Your claim that military MA does not work shows you are just a youtube troll who’s full of it.
Stop being an MMA groupie little boy.

@44excalibur MMA is made up of usually one or more stand up arts and one or more ground arts. Stand ups such as kickboxing, MT, boxing. Kung fu and karate? Nope.
Ground arts: Bjj, wrestling, sambo, judo, submission wrestling, greco roman.
Escrima, or Krav maga do not work. I’m still waiting for your video showing self defense with just karate. Since you haven’t you’re full of shit. Stop being a keyboard warrior kid.

@44excalibur Yoshida used Judo. A martial art used in MMA. Did you not read that or do you only read things you want to? The USMC’s Karate is so basic it really isn’t relied on. It’s more or less bjj with kickboxing. Besides if you know anything about the military (clearly you don’t) you’d know the winner of a hand to hand fight in a combat zone is the guy who’s buddy with a gun comes first. Also that isn’t the case. BJJ muay thai? That’s a stereotype that idiots think.

@uberschelsse Are your fingers broken that you can’t type Yoshida vs. Gracie? And did you hear me mention Kung Fu at all? The USMC have used many styles INCLUDING Karate, BJJ Jujutsu, Escrima, and Krav Maga. And you seem to be dodging the UFC fighters who have trained in karate and apparently don’t think it’s a “silly” martial art. But don’t give me this “blend” nonsense. From what I’ve seen most MMA types like yourself adhere only to BJJ/Muay Thai 2 style combo and bash everything else.

@44excalibur Where are your videos? If you have none you’re blowing smoke out of your ass. Also Judo is one of the mix blends of few martial arts that work are in MMA. You seem to think MMA is a style when it’s actually a blend of working martial arts. The USMC uses BJJ and practically all of the US military. I think even if they like using a martial art used in MMA over Karate goes to show that they choose a proper martial art over kung fu or any other silly martial art.

@uberschelsse Like I said, check out Gracie losing to Yoshida. or any UFC fighter with a Karate/Judo background in the UFC, cuz there’s plenty of them. And the military using escrima, jujitsu and krav maga is a matter of public record, unless you think the USMC is unworthy. And the fighters in your vids were using their skills on bums, mostly. Any wreslter could do the same thing, without any MMA.
